Enjoy a range of drop-in activities and challenges that will take kids and families on a journey at Sydney’s oldest observatory.

Peer through the Observatory’s telescopes and binoculars with Observatory guides and learn how you can carry out scientific investigations at home. Discover the history of the site and grounds at our archaeological dig pit and see what you can unearth. Play with digital technology at our VR station. Learn about planets and orbits in our solar system at our gravity table. Get ready to become an astronaut at our astronaut obstacle course, launch a rocket and join in space related arts and crafts.

Don’t forget to bring your own food and drink to have a picnic on Observatory Hill.
