Extravaganza: Sci Art

Enjoy a range of drop-in activities and challenges that will take kids and families on an exciting science journey at Sydney Observatory.

Discover the history of the site and grounds of Sydney’s oldest observatory at our archaeological dig pit and see what you can unearth and learn about planets and orbits in our solar system at our gravity table. Then get ready to become an astronaut at our astronaut obstacle course, join in seasonal related arts and crafts and peer through the Observatory’s telescopes and binoculars with our Observatory guides.

Don’t forget to bring your own food and drink to have a picnic on Observatory Hill and add a Planetarium session for an additional $5 per participant. Limited places are available, please book at the link below. Children must be accompanied by an adult.

Please note some activities are weather dependent and are subject to change. Tickets are non-refundable in the event of wet weather. General admission is not available to Sydney Observatory during this special event.
