Discover the wonders of space on this family friendly tour.

Enjoy the sunset over the harbor while learning about the twilight sky. Watch the sky turn from day to night in our digital planetarium and discover the constellations of the southern sky. Look through our telescopes* and observe the sky through a whole new lens. Learn about propulsion and rockets, with a hands-on rocket launching* activity!

This 90-minute tour promises fun for all ages with hands-on activities guided by an expert astronomer. For families after more telescope time and better views of the stars and planets we recommend a Sydney Observatory Night Tour.

Family Friend Twilight Tours run each night at 6.30pm or 7pm**.

* Tours are held regardless of the weather. If viewing through the telescopes and/or rocket launching is not possible due to sky conditions, the tour still proceeds with other fun family activities including a presentation in our Space Theatre. Tickets are non-refundable but may be exchanged or rain checked for patrons who contact the Observatory prior to 12 noon on the day of their tour.

**7pm sessions are available Friday and Saturday.

Please be on time as the tour starts from inside the Observatory building shortly after the doors open. Night visits need to be booked and pre-paid. Bookings, including group bookings, can be made up to three months in advance online or by calling Sydney Observatory (02) 9217 0111.
