Jump into: Python Minecraft (Ages 10-12)

Duration: 2 hours
Workshop10 - 12 Years

This is a two-hour program running at the Museums Discovery Centre.

Want to customise your own Minecraft game? Learn how with our Python coding workshop! Our educators will introduce learners to the creative possibilities of programming by assisting them in writing Python code to control the characters and blocks inside Minecraft. The workshop will start with the basics, allowing learners to gain an understanding of the Python language syntax. Then it’s time to learn how to control flow structures in Python by using loops and conditional statement to construct more complex buildings with Minecraft blocks.

“Jump Into” workshops are a rapid introduction to a topic and can be built upon by attending our school holiday workshops. No parental supervision is required.

Please be sure to read our essential information for The Lab workshops.
