Next Big Hit (Ages 7–9)

15 January 2017, 10am–4pm

This is a one-day workshop.

Do you like to write songs that get stuck in your head? If you can sing, write poetry, rap, play an instrument or if you like producing music, this is the workshop for you! No experience necessary, as we will teach you the skills to program your song in GarageBand.

Learn how to write a catchy song while arranging instruments to support your masterpiece. If you want to record guitar, we have an extensive range of electric and acoustic guitars, plus an electric bass guitar, ukulele, keyboard, and violins. GarageBand has samples as well that are easy to use when creating that unique track, so you don’t have to be a musician.

This is a great chance for you to meet other like-minded people who can collaborate on your project. So if you are passionate about songwriting, come and join us to write that next big hit!

Digital learning programs at The Lab focus on premium learning experiences with a high facilitator to learner ratio. All courses cater for learners of differing abilities. The last half an hour of the workshop will be open for parents to view the participants’ work.

Please note there will be no access to the cafe on site during The Lab workshops. Lunches will need to be provided or pre-ordered.
