Regional Art Practice in the Post Digital Age talk

Friday 2 September
12 pm–12.40 pm

Join artist Vic McEwan for a discussion on the making of Shadow Places, a multimedia art installation exhibited at the Powerhouse Museum during the Sydney Design Festival. Vic will also give some insights into his vibrant art practice that encompasses working with rural communities in remote locations and big cities nationally and internationally.

Shadow Places is created by The Cad Factory: multimedia artist Vic McEwan and artist Nicole Barakat in collaboration with George Main from The National Museum of Australia, the Narrandera Textiles Group and the Narrandera community; and commissioned by MAAS for the Sydney Design Festival 2016. This project is a first for Sydney Design, where regional NSW creative practitioners and a regional community collaborated on a Festival project.
