Pre-register your free place on the day by clicking ‘book tickets’ to attend Seniors Day 2019 at Museums Discovery Centre. Take a Walk Down Memory Lane and enjoy the objects of yesteryear with talented volunteers from the Museum of Applied Arts and Sciences. Please arrive anytime between 10am – 2pm to get the most of your day.

 

The day:

Taster Tours: There will be a number of taster tours being led by our knowledgeable and experienced MAAS volunteers which will give you a little insight into the bespoke tours we run year round.

Glimpse behind the scenes: An opportunity to have a short glimpse into the deep stores with incredible objects safely in storage, usually only visited by museum staff.

Discovery Tables: And an opportunity to see and touch objects from the past on our discovery tables and steam station and hear from our volunteers experiences.

All tasters, glimpses and snippets of tours are first come, first served basis on the day but there are plenty of activities to keep everyone busy!

 

NB. There will be tea and coffee available, but please note there is no cafe on site.

You will receive a full program on arrival at Museums Discovery Centre on the 21st February.

 

We recommend taking public transport to Museums Discovery Centre as parking is limited.

Groups and buses are welcome, if you are in a group of more than 8 please call +61 (02) 9217 0111 to book .Buses must drop off and collect only, as there is no allocated bus parking area.

The nearest parking is at the Hills Super Centre about a 5 minute walk away where you can do some shopping after the event:  Hills Super Centre
