Celebrate May the Fourth, the biggest day of the year on the Star Wars calendar, at STAR WARSTM Identities: The Exhibition. It is one of your final chances to see the exhibition, which must close on 10 June.
Book tickets to STAR WARSTM Identities: The Exhibition on 4 May to get up close to your favourites from the Star Wars universe, with costumed fans greeting visitors throughout the day before your visit to the exhibition.
Visitors are encouraged to let their inner Jedis and Wookies shine, and turn up dressed as their favourite character*, with prizes up for grabs. Just tag photos on social media to be in the running: #StarWarsIDSydney #MayThe4thBeWithYou
Young astronauts can fly through an intergalactic journey at kids’ storytelling sessions (11am – 1pm) in the Transport gallery, and let their imaginations run wild at an interstellar drawing station.
Space fans can embark on their own interplanetary mission this side of the universe, with live demonstrations of the Mars Lab’s robotic rover, Mawson (11am – 2pm). Watch this impressive robot in action on the Powerhouse Museum’s Mars Yard – a re-creation of the actual Martian surface – and find out how robots are used in navigating the universe.
Book your ticket online in advance so you don’t miss out!
*Please leave your helmets, weapons and light sabers at home for this event (we’re looking at you, Darth Vader!)
About the exhibition
Who would you be if you were a character from Star Wars? Find out as you build your own personal and unique Star Wars hero in this interactive exhibition featuring 200 original Star Wars objects.
Designed for visitors of all ages, explore your own identity and learn about the forces that shape you through a series of interactive stations within the exhibition. Each answer you give will define a unique Star Wars character that you’ll create and meet at the end of the exhibition.
