Did you know that you can explore space during the day? Look through our safe solar telescope before exploring the Universe in our Planetarium*. On a clear day, you can see the Sun, bright stars and maybe the Moon or Venus!

Day tours are available on weekends and school holidays and run for 30 minutes.

Tour Times: 10.15am, 11.15am, 12.15pm, 1.15pm, 2.15pm, 3.15pm**, 4.15pm***

Ticket Conditions

Bookings are required for groups of 15 or more by calling +61 (02) 9217 0111 during office hours (8.30am – 4.30pm).

Day telescope viewing sessions take place subject to weather conditions. Please note, it is not safe to look at the Sun through any normal telescope, with binoculars or the naked eye. Doing so could seriously damage your eyesight.

* The Planetarium may on occasion be substituted for our Space Theatre.
** Weekends and school holidays only.

Please note: From Friday 23 November we are undertaking maintenance works on the Space Theatre to improve the visitor experience.These works are due for completion by the end of November and the Space Theatre will be closed during this time. We apologise for any inconvenience.
