Sir

I have the honor to request that some repairs may be effected to the Roof of the Observatory house and repairs effected to the ceilings of four rooms two of which have been damaged by the recent rain. Also, that a new leather cover may be put on my office table which is in such an adhesive state that I had recently to cut out a large part of it to save a valuable document.
