Sir

In reply to your letter of 22nd Inst I beg to inform you that I know nothing of the Barometer and weather chart that you mention as having been sent to you.

The observations should be continued and requested as before.

The Barometer will be forwarded to you as soon as it is repaired in the mean time you should observe thermometers ?? ?? Barometer.

I have not yet received your monthly return for September. The returns should always be sent in in the course of the first week of the following month.
