11 Macquarie Street South
Sydney Dec. 26th 1857

57/66

Sir

Having been prevented from revisiting Maitland as I had intended I have to request that you will apply to me by letter for any information that you may require respecting the Meteorological Instruments or mode of observation.

Have any steps been taken towards the erection of the vane? You will be good enough to send to me at the end of the present month a duplicate of such observations as you may have been enabled to make.

I am Sir
Your obedient Servant
W Scott

The Superintendent
Maitland Gaol
