You will oblige me by some information on the following points

1st the safe arrival of the Meteorological Instruments.

2 What steps you have taken (if any) towards the establishment of the Observatory.

3 Whether or not you are sufficiently acquainted with the nature and use of the instruments to proceed without further instructions, beyond those in the printed copy which you will find in one of the thermometer cases.

4 on what spot you propose to erect the Thermometer Stand, and how far it is protected from injury by any persons or animals.

5 Whether or not you have a suitable place for the erection of the vane.
