Electronic Technologies

Ever wondered how TV remotes, game controllers and other smart devices work? Discover how in this hands-on electronic technologies workshop. Your class will gain an understanding of how non-computerised smart devices function thanks to microcontrollers such as Arduino. Using code language based on C/C++, learners will also discover how to control an Arduino featuring the MAAS ThinkerShield. Your class will be guided in how to write code to control the ThinkerShield’s LED lights and create custom light patterns, and once learners have mastered that, the possibilities are endless! They can experiment, tinker and invent with the ThinkerShield’s many components to demonstrate their gained coding knowledge.
