Have you ever wondered what an astronomer does? Meet Sarah Reeves, Astronomer and Science Curator at the Powerhouse Museum in this 45 minute webinar about the wonders of the night sky.  Sarah will explain the science behind the astronomical phenomena in the exhibition Winning Sky Photos 2019, currently touring Regional NSW. With her deep knowledge of astronomy Sarah will impart the science behind the breathtaking beauty of the night sky and her passion for studying it. This webinar is suited for Primary schools, teachers and interested members of the public. Register your questions on booking.

Sarah completed her PhD in Astronomy at the University of Sydney and for her thesis studied how galaxies grow and evolve over cosmic time. While studying, she also worked as a tour guide at Sydney Observatory where she discovered a passion for science communication. She now enjoys sharing her love of science with a much wider audience, through the Museum’s collection and exhibitions.
