Stage 2-3 Technology: EXPO

Duration: 90 minutes
1 February 2020 - 30 June 2021 Powerhouse Museum Book Tickets

Experience the latest and most cutting-edge technologies in the Technology Expo, designed specifically for large groups.

Led by our educators, learners will get hands-on with virtual and augmented reality, robotics, modern manufacture techniques, coding, and more as they are immersed in this fast-paced program designed to explore STEAM through gamification and play.

Meet the Robots – get up close and personal with a variety of robots from ‘Baxter’ our industrial robot to ‘Paro’ our therapeutic robot.

Visual Coding – discover the potential of Scratch (MIT). Learn how to animate sprites and use logic to control your sprites.

Circuits with ThinkerShield – a musical coding workshop where learners will use Arduino microcontrollers and the custom-designed MAAS ThinkerShields to create a mini digital piano.

Electronic Design – use the power of electronics to build, prototype and invent! littleBits is a system of components that snap together to easily create hardware.

Explore Augmented Reality – explore the Solar System using our unique augmented reality activities to learn how this exciting technology works.
